The 2025 Mytonomy Patient Engagement Awards (“The Mytos”) recognize health systems, payors, and digital health organizations that demonstrate excellence in measurable patient education and engagement through the use of the Mytonomy Cloud for Healthcare platform.
After more than 1.5 million total minutes of Mytonomy patient education content watched in 2025 across the Mytonomy Network, we are pleased to announce this year’s award recipients.
Award recipients were identified through the inaugural Mytonomy Network Summary, which analyzes patient engagement across participating health systems using the Mytonomy platform.
Awarded to the three organizations with the highest total patient video views during the 2025 calendar year.
Gold – Advocate Health
Advocate Health received positive feedback on its use of Mytonomy through their omni-survey. Patients specifically referenced the educational videos, indicating a favorable impact on their healthcare experience.
Silver – UC San Diego Health
UC San Diego Health was proactive and thorough in identifying key areas that would benefit from automated patient education and saw exciting upward trends in viewership and engagement.
Bronze – Anonymous System

“It was a joy to work with Hawai’i Pacific Health to create culturally-sensitive, multilingual NICU videos to educate new parents. The whole team is focused on providing the best patient experience and keeping the Aloha spirit in everything they do.” -- Cindy Wallach, Creative Director, Mytonomy.
Awarded for the highest total volume of non-English patient education video views in 2025.

Awarded to the organization that was live on the Mytonomy platform at the start of 2025 and achieved the highest year-over-year growth.
Recipient: Carilion Clinic
Carilion Clinic automated colonoscopy patient education (among other conditions) and significantly reduced the percentage of same-day cancellations due to poor bowel preparation, thereby improving both the patient experience and operational efficiency.
Clinical Specialty Awards recognize organizations with the highest Average Session Duration (ASD) within specific clinical categories, independent of bed count or member population size.
Recipient: Advocate Health
Recognized for the highest ASD across procedures included in the CMS Transforming Episode Accountability Model (TEAM), including joint replacement, hip fracture repair, spinal fusion, coronary artery bypass grafting, and major bowel procedures.
Recipient: UC San Diego Health
Recognized for achieving the highest ASD in maternity-related patient education, reflecting strong engagement during pregnancy and postpartum care.
Recipient: UC San Diego Health
Recognized for the highest ASD across chronic condition education, including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic kidney disease, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
During 2025, Mytonomy customers streamed patient education content across more than 100 clinical areas. The Mytonomy Network Summary serves as a foundational benchmark for evaluating patient engagement with digital health education.
Mytonomy delivers microlearning videos organized into condition-specific modules. Most videos are approximately two to three minutes in length. A video is classified as viewed when at least 70 percent of its content is completed. Internal platform data indicate that approximately 94 percent of initiated videos reach this completion threshold.
Viewed Video: A video that is watched to a minimum of 70 percent completion.
Average Session Duration (ASD): The average amount of time a user spends in a single continuous session on the Mytonomy platform, from initial interaction through inactivity or exit, including all videos viewed during that session.
Mytonomy is a leading provider of healthcare cloud solutions for video-based patient education and engagement. The enterprise platform provides a seamless, consumer-like experience across all major medical conditions.
