Video Campaign on Colorectal Cancer Screening Delivers Results

CRC Screening Saves Lives

Colorectal Cancer (CRC) mortality has dropped 30% in the last 30 years – largely because of increased screening through colonoscopy or at-home testing. Yet the most recent data shows that 1 in 3 adults are not getting screened as recommended.

Real-World Application

Mytonomy teamed up with RUSH University Medical Center on an outreach program that contacted almost 2,000 patients, reminding them to watch CRC education videos and complete a screening test. Contact information was included to help patients schedule their screenings, and patients who didn’t click through received a series of nudging reminders.

Improved Compliance Saves Lives

8% of patients who received communications clicked the links and watched at least one video, though most went on to watch more: an average of six videos per patient. 57% of patients who watched videos took action and completed a colorectal cancer screening test.

The Benefits of Mytonomy

Mytonomy engagement results in high patient and provider satisfaction, lower cost of care, great engagement and better outcomes. The Mytonomy solution can increase early detection even in patients who are reluctant to schedule a test.
