There are a variety of fake employment scams that prey on unsuspecting job applicants. If you’re in the market for a new job, do you know how to identify a scam from a real job? Here are some common red flags to be aware of.

  • They want your personal information up front
  • They want your banking details up front
  • Communications are on chat apps
  • The recruiter seems off
  • You receive emails from unofficial domains
  • You’re asked to send money in advance
  • The company asks you to pay for something - foot the bill
  • The recruiter or employee’s emails are missing contact details
  • Emails have grammatical errors or obvious typos
  • You haven’t had a video interview, or a phone screen
  • The interview process seems too easy
  • The company asks you to make wire transfers
  • The offer sounds too good to be true

Regarding employment opportunities at Mytonomy, please check for open positions on www.mytonomy.com/careers. Unfortunately fake employment scams have targeted many companies. Mytonomy is aware that someone has been impersonating Mytonomy Employees.  Please use caution if someone reaches out to you and claims they are from Mytonomy.
